KANSAS CITY, Mo.(Jan, 9, 2019) - As it progresses through its ninth year of operations, Page Communications is pleased to announce the hire of Zach Wilson as public relations coordinator. Wilson joins the Page Communications team after graduating from the University of Kansas School of Journalism and Mass Communications in December with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and a minor in business. Wilson joined Page Communications as an intern in early May and was hired by the agency in December 2018. Wilson's responsibilities for the agency include social media strategy and management, press release and advisory writing, media relations, event support, strategic positioning and messaging, and community outreach. Wilson comes to Page Communications with a strong background in social media strategy through his courses, as well as his involvement in Student Union Activities (SUA), a student-run programming board at the University of Kansas. During his time in SUA, Wilson served as communications coordinator and monitored, maintained and managed the organization's social media platforms. During his time at KU, Wilson spent a summer as a marketing intern for Europe Congress in Prague, Czech Republic where he was responsible for developing relationships with potential new clients. Additionally, Wilson assumed the role of media director for his capstone course. In this role, he created social media strategies for his client, the North Topeka Arts and Entertainment District, a growing community of artists and business owners.
