KANSAS CITY, Mo.(Sept 28, 2018) - As it progresses through its ninth year of operations, Page Communications is pleased to announce the hire of Hannah Downie and Teanna Totten as public relations coordinators. Both Downie and Totten were hired by the agency in August 2018. Their responsibilities for the agency include social media strategy and management, press release and advisory writing, media relations, event support, strategic positioning and messaging, and community outreach. Downie joins the Page Communications team after graduating with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in French. Downie comes to Page Communications with considerable writing and social media experience through her internship with Sarah Scoop, a lifestyle blog based in KC. Downie's responsibilities at Sarah Scoop included writing daily articles, managing day-to-day social media content and engagement, coordinating interviews, editing videos, and more. Additionally, Downie was a staff writer for UMKC's student lead newspaper, U-News. Totten joins the Page Communications team after graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and a double minor in French and Global and International Studies. Totten comes to Page Communications with a great deal of social media experience through her internship with Just Food, the Douglas County Food Bank. Totten's responsibilities at Just Food included managing social media content and engagement, creating blog content, and event support. Additionally, Totten assumed the role of Account Executive in her capstone course during her senior year. In this role, she led the development of a comprehensive rebranding campaign for her client, Swope Health Services. Her work won Best Student work at the International Association of Business Communicators Kansas City Quill awards and was nominated for Best in Show. Page Communications continues to represent both local and national brands including, The Legends Outlets, Q39, United Healthcare, and Boulevardia. Additionally, it was named the agency of record for Andre's Confiserie Suisse and the Raphael, a historic boutique hotel in Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, along with its award-winning restaurant, Chaz on the Plaza.
