Jenna Smith, PR Coordinator
Jenna joins the Page Communications team after graduating from The University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. in December 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Smith’s responsibilities as PR Coordinator include media relations, release and advisory writing, logistical event planning, and social media management. Smith joined Page Communications as an intern in July 2011 and was hired by the agency on September 6, 2011.
Smith comes to Page Communications with educational experience in business and communication. She spent four years gaining professional experience working as a Senior Mutual Fund Representative for Boston Financial Data Services based in Lawrence, Kan. and Kansas City while attending college. Smith has more than eight years of experience in the restaurant industry, one of the primary industries Page Communications services. The Denver native enjoys outdoor activities, concerts, volunteering at community events, and cheering on her favorite teams – the Kansas Jayhawks and Denver Broncos.
One of Smith’s first projects as PR Coordinator saw major success. The agency was chosen as the agency of record for the grand opening of Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Leawood, Kan., an event that resulted in more than $10,000 in donations raised for The Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired (CCVI). The amount set a Gordon Biersch corporate record. The nationwide restaurant chain partners with a local charity for each of its grand opening celebrations.
In addition to the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant grand opening, Page Communications was also recently named the PR agency of record for 2012 Kansas City Restaurant Week, the second consecutive year the agency will represent Kansas City’s premier dining event.
